The proposed theme of the Conference refers to the myths as the basic structures of the creative imagination of the Mediterranean culture and lays down their vital <em>continuum<\/em> in all epochs of development of culture until the present day. One may note phenomena of mythical signatures\u2019 transfer in each space and time of development of ancient, modern and postmodern culture, based on the Gilbert Durand\u2019s idea of symbolic imagination and creative imagination \u2013 <em>imagination en devenir<\/em>. The aim of the Conference is to consider, to the widest possible extent, the scope, method and form of influence of ancient myth\u2019s <em>logos<\/em> in the ancient and modern era in order to be able to formulate a basis for reflection on the identity of the ancient myth in the contemporary postmodern culture, both at the local (national), as well as global level.\u00a0The impact of the myths of the Mediterranean region in areas of the artistic creation in literature, theater, movies and in the visual arts will be considered. It shall be also possible to discuss impact of the mythical invariants on social relations (sociology, anthropology, ethnology, law, medicine) as well as on language (mythonyms, mythological deonomastics). In this sense, the Conference is addressed to a broad interdisciplinary group of researchers discussing in their studies the issue of reception of ancient myths from Mediterranean culture. Widely defined scope of the Conference reflects contemporary trends in studies on reception of the Mediterranean Antiquity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The language of the conference is <strong>English<\/strong> and <strong>Polish<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Papers will be allocated 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for questions. <strong>Abstracts of no more than 350 words<\/strong> (including bibliography) should be sent by email as a Word attachment to<\/span> <a href=\"mailto:mythconference@op.pl\">mythconference@op.pl<\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">by <strong>30 August 2015<\/strong>. Please include name, affiliation, email address and paper title in the body of the email. All abstracts will be accepted subject to review by an international Scientific Committee. Notification of acceptance decisions will be communicated via email by <strong>15 September 2015.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The conference program will be announced to the mid-October.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong><u>The registration fee<\/u><\/strong> covers all conference materials, all meals, as well as publication of the paper in the monograph in English (after the peer-review)<strong>. <\/strong>The standard registration fee is <strong>200 EUR<\/strong>. A discount fee of <strong>150 EUR (600 PLN)<\/strong> is offered to doctoral students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The conference fee should be transferred to the account below with the reference \u201c<strong>MYTH2015M.Budzowska<\/strong>\u201d.
