Grants
1. Beneficiaries
Members of Asteria.
2. Objectives
To fund activities aimed at the study or dissemination of myths and Myth Criticism.
3. Conditions
- A minimum of three years of Asteria membership.
- Current on membership dues.
- Applicants are limited to one grant application every 24 months.
4. Evaluation Criteria
- Direct relation to Asteria’s objectives.
- Feasibility, relevance, innovation.
- Clear benefits for Asteria.
5. Commitments
- Explicitly mention Asteria in the activity carried out: inclusion of the logo on informational posters, in event presentations, acknowledgements, and explicit reference in published research papers, at conferences, seminars, etc.
- Submission of invoices.
- Documentary justification (certificate of conference completion, photographs of the activity, certificate of research stay, etc.).
- Submission of a final report (maximum 500 words).
6. Grant Types and Application Deadlines
Asteria will reimburse event or activity invoices up to the stipulated maximum. Applicable taxes (15%) will be deducted from the stated amount. The number and amount of grants awarded will depend on Asteria’s budgetary availability.
6.1. Publications
- The grant can be requested as financial assistance.
- A maximum of 700 euros will be awarded.
- The procedure is as follows:
- a) Submission of an abstract of the volume or article to be published.
- b) Submission of a financial project, including a budget or a pro forma invoice.
- c) Co-financing of expenses by other organisations will be highly valued.
- d) Applications will be accepted throughout May, with resolution in June.
6.2. Research Stays
- Travel, accommodation, registration fees.
- A maximum of 500 euros will be awarded.
- The procedure is as follows:
- a) Submission of the project proposal (maximum 1000 words), specifying the theme, methodology, objectives, activity timeline, and plans for dissemination and publication of results.
- b) Submission of a documented budget for the requested concept.
- c) Applications will be accepted throughout May, with resolution in June, for stays taking place within the following 12 months.
6.3. Conferences and Seminars
Organisation
- Grants may be requested to cover speaker fees, speaker travel and accommodation, venue rental, and other organisational needs (poster design, materials, etc.).
- A maximum of 400 euros will be awarded.
- The procedure is as follows:
- a) Submission of an application with a project explanation (maximum 500 words).
- b) Submission of a budget or pro forma invoice.
- c) Two calls for applications:
- Activities held from January to June: Applications will be accepted until November 30 of the previous year, with resolution in December-January.
- Activities held from July to December: Applications will be accepted until May 31, with resolution in June.
Participation
- Grants may be requested to cover transportation, accommodation, or registration fees.
- A maximum of 250 euros will be awarded.
- The procedure is as follows:
- a) Submission of the acceptance of the communication and the programme, including the title of the presentation. Funding will only be provided to participants with accepted communication.
- b) Submission of an invoice or budget.
- c) Two calls for applications:
- Activities held from January to June: Applications will be accepted until November 30 of the previous year, with resolution in December-January.
- Activities held from July to December: Applications will be accepted until May 31, with resolution in June.
