PRIMERA REUNIÓN DE IPS DEL PROYECTO ANDRÓMEDA

La reunión se celebró el 16 de enero y asistieron José Manuel Losada (ACIS), Julio Pérez (ÉTICAS GRIEGAS) en representación de José María Zamora, Paloma Ortiz (RECEPTION), Asunción López (SIIM), Pablo López (IAI), Guadalupe Seijas (BiTeI), M.9 del Val Gago (InScribo-CIL II) y Pablo Úrbez (NYL). Se abordaron temas tanto administrativos como presupuestarios y se intercambiaron ideas y propuestas relacionadas con el espíritu cooperativo e investigador del proyecto.

FEBRERO

 

PRIMERA REUNIÓN DE MIEMBROS DE ANDRÓMEDA

El 4 de febrero se celebró la primera reunión con los miembros de Andrómeda en la Sala de Juntas de la Facultad de Filología de la Universidad Complutense. Durante la sesión, se trató sobre los objetivos del proyecto, se presentó el sitio web y se abordaron temas económicos y administrativos.

SEMINARIO MITOCRÍTICA CULTURAL: “TEORÍAS DE LA REPRESENTACIÓN”

José Manuel Losada realizó un recorrido por distintas teorías de la representación y exploró su impronta en la mitología y en la cultura contemporánea mediante ejemplos multidisciplinares que abarcaron desde Botero hasta el Correcaminos. El evento tuvo lugar el 18 de febrero en el Salón de Grados de la Facultad de Filología de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

III SEMINARIO DE MITOCRÍTICA CULTURAL: “EL MITO SIN BARRERAS”

Actividad celebrada los días 4 de marzo, 18 de marzo y 1 de abril en la Sala de Juntas del edificio A de la Facultad de Filología. El seminario, organizado por José Manuel Losada, Mercedes Pérez Agustín y Julia Úbeda, exploró las diversas manifestaciones del mito en la cultura contemporánea, abarcando desde la literatura hasta el arte y la cinematografía.

PRESENTACIÓN DE CLAUDIO CALABRESE: “LA MITOCRÍTICA CULTURAL DE JOSÉ MANUEL LOSADA EN CLAVE GNOSEOLÓGICA”

La Red Latinoamericana de Mitocrítica Pachamama organizó esta presentación en línea que realizó el 8 de marzo Claudio Calabrese, profesor del Instituto de Humanidades de la Universidad Panamericana (Aguascalientes, México) y responsable de la Línea de Investigación Mito, Conocimiento y Acción.

CONFERENCIA “IMAGEN, RELATO Y TRASCENDENCIA. FUNDAMENTOS DE LA MITOCRÍTICA CULTURAL”

La conferencia, impartida por José Manuel Losada el 15 de marzo en la Universidad Ramon Llull, ofreció los conceptos basilares de la mitocrítica cultural, la cual propone una definición coherente del mito y una metodología cierta para su estudio.

IV SEMINAR “THE LITERATURE OF TERROR: EXPLORING MYTHICAL FIGURES IN GOTHIC FICTION”

Este seminario se realizó los días 13 – 14 de marzo y 10 de abril en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Este evento fue organizado por Ana González-Rivas Fernández y se centró en el análisis de las figuras míticas en la narrativa gótica.

ABRIL

 

“APLICACIONES DIDÁCTICAS DEL MITO” (SEMINARIO DE MITOCRÍTICA Y TRANSFERENCIA DEL CONOCIMIENTO)

Actividad organizada por Roxana Beatriz Martínez Nieto, profesora titular de la UNIR, y realizada los días 9, 16 y 23 de abril en la Universidad Internacional de la Rioja, UNIR. En este seminario, profesores de la Universidad Internacional de la Rioja, la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos expusieron los resultados de su investigación sobre mitocrítica y ofrecieron una aplicación didáctica a docentes y estudiantes del Máster Universitario en Didáctica de la Lengua en Educación Infantil y Primaria (MDLEIEP) de la UNIR.

CONFERENCIA “HÉROES AND HEROÍNAS A TRAVÉS DEL TIEMPO: DEL MITO A LA CIENCIA FICCIÓN”

Esta presentación de José Manuel Losada, que tuvo lugar el 15 de abril en la Universidad de Hawaii en Manoa, exploró la figura en evolución del héroe y la heroína a través de las tradiciones literarias y cinematográficas, desde el mito antiguo hasta la ciencia ficción. Asimismo, trazó cómo las narrativas heroicas reflejan valores culturales, tensiones éticas y transformaciones históricas.

CONFERENCIA “MITOS FEMENINOS DE LA TEMPRANA MODERNIDAD”

Impartida por José Manuel Losada el 24 de abril en la Universidad de Sevilla dentro del Congreso Internacional “Plumas rebeldes, voces silenciadas, mujer y (temprana) modernidad”.

El congreso ofreció un programa diverso que abordó temas como el humanismo femenino, la modernidad europea, el control y libertades de la mujer en distintos periodos, así como su relación con la religión y la política

MAYO

 

“¿CÓMO NOS AFECTAN LOS MITOS EN NUESTRO DÍA A DÍA?: DEL AYER AL HOY EN LA LITERATURA ESPAÑOLA” (TALLER DE FORMACIÓN DOCENTE. MITOCRÍTICA Y TRANSFERENCIA DE CONOCIMIENTO)

Esta actividad, que se dirige a docentes de alumnos con altas capacidades, se realizó en línea el 7 de mayo y fue organizada por Roxana Beatriz Martínez Nieto, profesora titular de la UNIR. Se propuso obtener una reflexión crítica por parte del alumnado mediante el establecimiento de conexiones entre su entorno y la reformulación literaria de los mitos clásicos en el barroco español.

“ENTRE MITOS Y PLANTAS: MITOS DE MADRID Y DE ESPAÑA” (TALLER INTERACTIVO DE MITOCRÍTICA Y TRANSFERENCIA DE CONOCIMIENTO)

Actividad organizada por Roxana Beatriz Martínez Nieto y José Manuel Losada (ambos del grupo ACIS) para personas con necesidades especiales relacionada con su ocupación en el vivero con fin social de Villaviciosa de Odón, Madrid. El vínculo entre floricultura y mitología será el hilo conductor de este taller que tendrá lugar el 19 de mayo en el centro especial de empleo “La Veguilla”. Los participantes elaborarán in situ un mural con materiales plásticos relacionando las flores y plantas del vivero con relatos mitológicos.

CONFERENCIA “MITOS Y RITOS DE SANACIÓN EN LA RELIGIÓN ESLAVA PRECRISTIANA”

Esta conferencia, a cargo de Enrique Santos, se enmarca dentro del XV Congreso Internacional de la Sociedad Española de Ciencias de las Religiones, que se celebrará del 28 al 30 de mayo en la Universidad de León. El objeto del Congreso será abordar la relación entre las religiones y la salud, desde múltiples perspectivas, tanto de las religiones contemporáneas como de las del mundo antiguo.

JUNIO

 

IV CERTAMEN ASTERIA

Convocatoria abierta hasta el 15 de mayo para el VI Certamen Asteria de Creación Artística y Mitología. Las bases del concurso se encuentran disponibles en nuestra página web. La exposición de las obras seleccionadas tendrá lugar del 4 al 30 de junio en la sala de exposiciones Maruja Mallo, plaza Daoiz y Velarde, 2, de lunes a domingo en horario de 10:00 a 20:00 horas.

La publicación del editorial del volumen 17 de Amaltea, adscrita a nuestra asociación, está prevista para el mes de junio. Este evento, que tratará el vínculo entre la mitología y los videojuegos desde distintos ángulos, tendrá lugar el 21 de octubre en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

JANUARY

FIRST ANDROMEDA PROJECT PI’S MEETING

On January 16, 2025, the first meeting was held with the PIs of the Andromeda project, attended by José Manuel Losada (ACIS), Julio Pérez (ÉTICAS GRIEGAS) representing José María Zamora, Paloma Ortiz (RECEPTION), Asunción López (SIIM), Pablo López (IAI), Guadalupe Seijas (BiTeI), M.ª del Val Gago (InScribo-CIL II), and Pablo Úrbez (NYL). Administrative and budgetary matters were addressed, and ideas and proposals related to the cooperative and research spirit of the project were exchanged.

FEBRUARY

FIRST ANDROMEDA MEMBERS’ MEETING

The first meeting with the members of Andromeda was held on February 4th in the Board Room of the Faculty of Philology at the Complutense University. The project’s objectives were discussed during the session, the website was presented, and economic and administrative matters were addressed.

CULTURAL MYTH CRITICISM SEMINAR: «THEORIES OF REPRESENTATION»

José Manuel Losada explored different theories of representation and their imprint on mythology and contemporary culture through multidisciplinary examples ranging from Botero to the Road Runner. The event took place on February 18th in the Graduation Hall of the Faculty of Philology at the Complutense University of Madrid.

III CULTURAL MYTH CRITICISM SEMINAR: «MYTH WITHOUT BARRIERS»

Activities were held on March 4th, March 18th and April 1st in the Meeting Room of building A at the Faculty of Philology. The seminar, organised by José Manuel Losada, Mercedes Pérez Agustín and Julia Úbeda, explored the various manifestations of myth in contemporary culture, spanning literature, art, and film.

PRESENTATION BY CLAUDIO CALABRESE: «JOSÉ MANUEL LOSADA’S CULTURAL MYTH CRITICISM IN GNOSEOLOGICAL APPROACH»

An online event was held on March 8th, organised by the Latin American Network of Myth Criticism Pachamama and given by the professor of the Institute of Humanities of the Pan American University (Aguascalientes, Mexico) and head of the Myth, Knowledge and Action Research Line.

CONFERENCE «IMAGE, NARRATIVE AND TRANSCEDENCE. PRINCIPLES OF CULTURAL MYTH CRITICISM»

This lecture, given by José Manuel Losada on March 15th at the Ramon Llull University, offered the basic concepts of Cultural Myth Criticism, which proposes a coherent definition of myth and a certain methodology for its study.

IV SEMINAR “THE LITERATURE OF TERROR: EXPLORING MYTHICAL FIGURES IN GOTHIC FICTION”

The seminar was held at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Autonomous University of Madrid on March 13-14 and April 10th. This event was organised by Ana González-Rivas Fernández, and it focused on the analysis of mythical figures in Gothic fiction.

APRIL

«DIDACTIC APPLICATIONS OF MYTH» (MYTH CRITICISM AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER SEMINAR)

These activities were organised by Roxana Beatriz Martínez Nieto, Senior Lecturer at UNIR, and held on April 9th, 16th and 23rd at the International University of La Rioja, UNIR. In these seminars, professors from the International University of La Rioja, the Complutense University of Madrid and the Rey Juan Carlos University presented the results of their research on myth criticism and shared a didactic application to teachers and students of the Master’s Degree in Didactics of Language in Early Childhood and Primary Education (MDLEIEP) of UNIR.

CONFERENCE «HEROES AND HEROINES ACROSS TIME: FROM MYTH TO SCIENCE FICTION»

This presentation, delivered by José Manuel Losada, took place on April 15th at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa and explored the evolving figures of the hero and heroine through literary and cinematographic traditions, from ancient myth to science fiction. It also traced how heroic narratives reflect cultural values, ethical tensions, and historical transformations.

CONFERENCE «FEMALE MYTHS OF EARLY MODERNITY»

Given by José Manuel Losada on April 24th at the University of Seville within the International Conference «Rebellious Pens, Silenced Voices, Women and (Early) Modernity». This event offered a diverse programme that addressed topics such as female humanism, European modernity, the control and freedoms of women in different periods, and their relationship with religion and politics.

TEACHER TRAINING WORKSHOP. (MYTH CRITICISM AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER SEMINAR) «HOW DO MYTHS AFFECT US IN OUR DAILY LIVES?: FROM YESTERDAY TO TODAY IN SPANISH LITERATURE»

This activity, aimed at teachers of high-ability students, will be held online on May 7th, and is organised by Roxana Beatriz Martínez Nieto, professor at UNIR. The purpose is to foster critical thinking among the students by establishing connections between their social environment and the literary reformulation of classical myths in the Spanish Baroque.

INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP ON MYTH CRITICISM AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER. «BETWEEN MYTHS AND PLANTS: MYTHS OF MADRID AND SPAIN»

This is an activity organized by Roxana Beatriz Martínez Nieto and José Manuel Losada (both members of ACIS) for people with special needs related to their work at the Villaviciosa de Odón social nursery in Madrid. The connection between floriculture and mythology will be the common thread of this workshop, which will take place on May 19th at the «La Veguilla» special employment centre. Participants will create an on-site mural using various art supplies, linking the nursery’s flowers and plants to mythological stories.

CONFERENCE «MYTHS AND HEALING RITES IN PRE-CHRISTIAN SLAVIC RELIGION»

Presented by Enrique Santos as part of the XV International Conference of the Spanish Society of Sciences of Religions, which will be held from May 28th to 30th at the University of León. This international event will address the relationship between religions and health from multiple perspectives.

IV ASTERIA CONTEST

The call for proposals for the VI Asteria Contest of Mythology and Artistic Creation is open until May 15th. The contest rules are available on our website. The selected works will be displayed at the Maruja Mallo exhibition hall, located at Plaza Daoiz y Velarde, 2, open Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 8 pm. The exhibition will be open to the public from June 4th to 30th, with the inauguration scheduled for 6:00 PM on the opening day.
